Heating and Air Conditioning
This career diploma program begins with the fundamentals: system components, tools, brazing and soldering techniques, and more. Then you'll learn how to install and troubleshoot valves, compressors, water chillers, thermostats and heat pumps; fix defective connections, controls and switches; adjust refrigerant levels; and work with gas, oil and electric heat.
You receive a starter set of quality tools after enrollment. Once you graduate, we also send you a complimentary digital multimeter as a congratulations on a job well done.
This industry has a dire need for qualified technicians. In fact, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of heating, air-conditioning and refrigeration mechanics and installers is projected to increase 28 percent during the 2008-18 decade.*
